FIRST GROUP SIGN UP FOR DATASYS RETAIL SYSTEMS |
First Group has signed up with DATASYS to implement DATASYS OFFICE, DATASYS ACCOUNTS and DATASYS CASH REC to all their Passenger Train Operating Companies.
The new applications will provide head office and front line staff with automatic identification of anomalies or errors with regard end of shift accounting and cash reconciliation with the cash collection agencies, allowing anomalies to be quickly investigated. DATASYS OFFICE will play a more strategic role as it provides multi level analysis of Ticket Issuing Systems, Audit, Performance and Financial Reports. These reports will aid the management of personnel, the protection of revenues and the optimisation of performance and profitability.
The roll out of the new applications to the First Group TOC's will begin later this year.

DATASYS REVEAL PLANS FOR NEW RELEASE OF DATASYS LOG AT USER CONFERENCE |
At the recently hosted DATASYS CONFERENCE in Manchester, DATASYS revealed the development plans for the next release of the DATASYS LOG.
The new release is focussing upon improving the user interface and functionality as well as providing more analyitical tools for searching and reporting. Users were able to see demonstrations of some of the new functionality in development.
Currently the DATASYS LOG holds all the information entered by the Control Team. One of the improvements to be introduced in the new release is shown on the Browse Screen.
Users will be able to upload additional documents or images relating to a particular incident and store it in the DATASYS LOG. This information will be centrally available to all users and help aid delay attribution and root cause analysis.

The DATASYS LOG V4 will be available to our users from September 2010. DATASYS will be working individually with each of our TOC's to establish how they can make best use of the new flexibility within the application and provide training as part of the implementation process.
