| DATASYS announces roll out plans for BUGLE V4 at user conference |
DATASYS were delighted to reveal roll out plans for the new BUGLE V4 system to the user community at the 2009 DATASYS BUGLE Conference which took place in Manchester on the 10th and 11th September.
This well established forum for all stakeholders in BUGLE was attended by over 40 delegates from Train Operating Companies in the UK. Delegates not only enjoyed a host of industry speakers but were also given demonstrations of the new and improved functionality BUGLE V4 will provide. DATASYS were delighted to welcome back Mark Hopwood, Managing Director, First Great Western, who presented his annual overview of the industry covering changes since last year and what issues we can expect to see emerging over the next twelve months. The delegates also enjoyed insightful presentations from: Tony Southerton, Performance Delivery Manager, East Midland Trains, talking about the introduction of EMTwo and the performance benefits of getting it right. (EMTwo is the branding for the East Midlands Trains timetable change in December 08) and Martin Thornley, Performance Improvement Manager, First Great Western, provided a review of how the company has achieved the biggest PPM improvement of any TOC in 2008/9 and their plans for the future. DATASYS were also delighted to welcome Rob Moss, Performance Strategy Manager, First Capital Connect and Dave Waldron, Performance Strategy Manager, Southeastern, whom provided delegates with a ‘users' overview of new BUGLE detailing their experiences at the cutting edge of performance analysis whilst carrying out user acceptance testing of DATASYS BUGLE V4. The conference provided an ideal opportunity for delegates to share and learn from each other's experiences and initiatives - not just concerning DATASYS BUGLE, but all areas of Performance management and improvement. DATASYS would like to thank our industry speakers for their invaluable contribution and all the delegates, without whose participation, the event would not have been the success it was. BUGLE will be available for delivery by the end of the year and DATASYS is already working with a number of Train Operating Companies who are keen to exploit the benefits of the new system early in the New Year.
